Anyone know how to install a temp gauge on a 99 banshee? Who makes one, or will a automotive one such as a autometer work? Where does the temprobe go? Thanx

I'm not real sure about the banshee.I installed a exhaust gas temp gauge on my 99 Scrambler 400.Basically all you do is drill a 3/16" hole 6" in front of the exhaust flange. You then insert the thermocouple into the pipe.Someone else might know where to get a gauge for the banshee. If not i would try a Snowmobile acces catolog like Dennis Kirk. They have Gauges for twins, and triples. A special gauge is needed as the exhaust temp will likely reach 1200 degrees plus. Good luck.

I have wondered about this myself...I thought maybe a guy could cut the radiator hose that runs out of the moter and into the radiator and put a plumbing "T" in the hose and then put the temp probe into the "T". Does this sond like it might work??? (also would you want to measure the water temp before or after it is cooled by the radiator????)
