YFZ 450 Exhaust????
#1
I'm pulling my hair out about a straight answer on what the best pipe is for my 2007 YFZ450. No Yoshimiras for me, thanks, due to the burning your leg problem! I just saw the new Toomey slip-on and was wondering if anyone had it and what they thought? I've considered the Ron Woods, DG, Two Brothers, Trinity, and FMF.

thanks crackerz, i was just about to start this thread. i have a 08 yfz. i just finished my break in and am looking for an exhaust. ive had fmf and was not to impressed. i have always used white bros. and they have always been great. sounded great too!! right now im in a toss up between the white bros e2, white bros new pipe (the xrc i think) and this new company motoworks. moto works has won 3 pipe shootouts in the last year. but im nervous about leaving white bors because they've been so great on my last two bikes. but to keep this thread about u crackerz, i would deffinitly look at white bros. check out motoworks too!

After wide consideration , I've decided to go with the new Toomey slipon. It has done so well for the Banshee and sounds so good, that I don't think I can go wrong. Dyno tests from my local Yamaha dealer show that it's really just a matter of preference and I prefer the Toomey. I'll give my feedback about it after this weekend's adventure and leave pics!

Installed Toomey slip-on and Ron Woods open air intake on Friday night. Rejetted to a 165 main jet and a 48 pilot jet. Adjusted carburator. Note: (I live at about 4300 ft and Little Sahara is about 5000 ft) Added o-rings to throttle accelerator at the dunes the next day per suggestion. Runs awesome! Was beating my friend hands down on his brand new '08 TRX450R with me and my friend both on the YFZ up Sand Mountain, Little Sahara, Utah. I'm happy with the power it has now. Definetely a 'tractor' going up the hills!
