Default John Deere 650 Trail Buck

I have a 2005 John Deere 650 Trail Buck which backfires when slowing down, and when turning the machine off. This has done this since it was new. I have had it back to the dealer but they do not seem to know what to do about it.
I read some posts on here which say this was a problem with the Bombardier Quest and that there was a fix for the problem. Just wondering if someone could tell me what the fix was for this problem.

Thanks for any information.

With the Quest the dealer put on a new muffler. I "think" there was a TSB on this issue. You might tell the dealer to check into it. There was rough welds on the inside of the muff that the hot gas would hit and BANG.
