Default Need help with a Hi-bird 200

Can someone who has a Hi-bird tell me how in the god green earth I have to do to tighten the chain? It just keep getting looser and looser.

Now it is impossible for me to ride this for longer than 15 secs without the chain popping.

can anyone please help me?

The chains on these Chinese bikes stretch really easy. There a a few large diameter bolts that hold the rear axle assy in place. Loosen these then tighten the 10mm chain adjuster. It looks kinda like a bolt with a 10mm nut on it. When you tighten this nut, it will force the axle to the back of the bike and the chain will tighten. You want a little play in it, but not too much. After you get the chain where you want it, make sure to tighten the axle bolts again.

I hope this helps! I had a Hi-bird and have several look-a-likes. One has this same problem so I have the tighten the chain alot. The other has a spring tentioned roller that pushes the chain up. This is a better design requiring less freqent procedures to tighten the chain.
