Need help with a Hi-bird 200
The chains on these Chinese bikes stretch really easy. There a a few large diameter bolts that hold the rear axle assy in place. Loosen these then tighten the 10mm chain adjuster. It looks kinda like a bolt with a 10mm nut on it. When you tighten this nut, it will force the axle to the back of the bike and the chain will tighten. You want a little play in it, but not too much. After you get the chain where you want it, make sure to tighten the axle bolts again.
I hope this helps! I had a Hi-bird and have several look-a-likes. One has this same problem so I have the tighten the chain alot. The other has a spring tentioned roller that pushes the chain up. This is a better design requiring less freqent procedures to tighten the chain.
