Greeting everyone - thanks for a great Forum ! I have a 1991 TRX250X with what I believe a bad rear shock. It is "springy" as if there is no damping left in it, just the coil spring absorbing any travel. Perhaps the oil or nitrogen (whatever they used) has leaked out ? Are there any cheap replacements from another ATV or dirt bike anyone has used ? I can get an OEM replacement from www.bikebandit.com for about $350, but I've only got $800 in this great ATV. You thoughts are appreciated.

 

same as the 300EX rear shock I am 90% sure, those you can find use dirt cheap!
once the dampening effect is gone, time for a rebuild or new shock.
