Default Homemade lift and snorkel kit

is there anyway that i can make a homemade lift kit for my 88 honda 300 4X4? also can i make a homemade snorkel? is there anything that i will have to buy to make them.

Default Homemade lift and snorkel kit

I'm not sure about the lift kit but the snorkle can be made. I jsut resently installed a snorkle on a kawasaki 220 bayou. If that can be done you should have no problems. Check out my profile and I've got a few pics of the kit. Keep in mine I had no room to work in due to the size of the bike and I installed two intake pipes to the air box.

will i have to jet the carb? i heard something about having to do that somewhere but i'm not sure.

You will need to rejet the car. If you have more air comming in and you do not add more fuel the eng runs lean and can cause eng. damage. Not to mention anytime there is a modification on an eng whether it be air or fuel related the fuel mixture must be compensated for somehow. Even the outside air temp will throw off the correct air/fuel mixture. I do not know much about the eng you have so I can't give you any other suggestions but all the info you need is on the web somewhere. I am waiting for the k&n jet kit for mine as we speak.
