Changing a spark plug on a 2000 Scrambler 500 4x4
#1
Hey guys. Here is my situation. I was out Saturday riding the trails when I noticed I had no full throttle. When you hit the gas the motor would bog down, but would run fine at idle and 1/2 throttle. So I figured it must be the spark plug. Well as all you guys know this is no easy task. when I went to pull off the plug boot all I came out with was the plug wire with no boot. When I did get the boot off it was broken inside with all the parts falling out. here are my questions How do I get to the plug and get it out? Also what do I do with the wire and broken plug boot? Who is the best to order parts from? I have no tool kit for the bike. Thanks,
Jimmy

ive never had one out, but cant you use a deep socket and short ext to take the plug out. here is the cap pn# 3084980 CAP, SPARKPLUG should want to replace it w/ a factory one. this is the plug SPARKPLUG, BKR6E. i beleave the cap just screws right on the wire.

Thanks Stendori. There is no room to get your hand in there to change your plug. I thought someone out there knows the secret to getting this done. From what your teliing me I dont have to change the ignition wire just the spark plug cap? Thanks,
Jimmy
