I find the lighting on my 01 ds650 horrendous so I thought I would install something cheap like a couple of these

Any idea what the best way is to do this without losing my battery charge and having to push my ATV home.

LMAO I was unaware that Canadian tires put that much draw on the battery.

There are a ton of posts on here discussing lighting, total stator output, etc., etc. You can get the factory light kit for a Baja version DS and it will plug right into a regular DS. I have done this installation, and it is pretty simple, even for a greenhorn like myself. I have a 60W/55W PIAA bulb for the main headlight and 55W bulbs for the Baja lights, and the output is all that I would need.

Ditto on the PIAA's. I have been running the 55W bulbs in my Baja lights for a few months now and the light output is great compared to stock. Not exactly cheap however at around $50 for both H3 bulbs.

Hi do you guys have the model or part number for these piaa bulbs. I am interested in both the main headlamp and the baja lights. I checked rocky mountain atv but they don't list any piaa bulbs for my ds. Thank you.

The search box works great as well.

Ebay search "PIAA H3" will turn up lots of em... You want the 55W Extreme White Plus for the Baja lights.
I have not upgraded the main H6M headlamp bulbs to the PIAA's yet but plan to do so shortly. The H6's are tougher to find as they are "ATV only" application unlike the H3's which are automotive. I could not find anyone offering them on Ebay. Do a Google search and some of the online motorcycle shops do carry the H6's 35W/35W
Just a note when instaling these be especially careful not to touch the bulb with your fingers. The oils from your skin will cause them to burn out prematurely.

POST A REAL LINK. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT US TO DO WITH THAT INFO??????????????</end quote></div>
What did I expect you to do with that info, well I definetly didnt expect you get upset.
You must drink alot of coffee, maybe you should try decaf?
All I,m asking what lighting can I safely add to my Ds and not run my battery down.
Also if anyone has experience with the wiring can they give me any tips on what to wire what to what etc.
Never done it before.
How easy is it to add the baja lights underneath. Do I have to worry about heat issues, is it a simple bolt on and plug in?
I like the idea of the more powerfull main bulb but I have heard of heat issues is this just a rumour or is it fact
