Need some advice... I have an 86 Honda TRX200SX that finally died on me recently. Problem is that I have no spark at the plug. This same thing happend to me a while back, then miracously a few days later it fired right up. Not sure exactly what the problem is but I did notice that when I pulled it with another bike the headlight would work. By the way the battery is totally dead. Does this mean that most of the electrical system is good? Is my problem the coil? Any help would be appreciated since the electrical parts can be quiet expensive. Thanks

 

I'm not quite knowledgeable about the electrical systems in our 200sx. But I have ridden mine for years with out a battery. Just used the pull start and she always fired right up so I don't think the dead battery has anything to do with it. Good luck!

 

its prob the source pickup coil behind the lil cover on the top left side of engine,,unsure the exact name but used to be my prob on old honda 185
