Default ATC 250R Rebuild...help?

Hey gents, maybe any 250r fan here can help me. I'm rebuilding a 1986 250r from the ground up. Rear end is all done but the hubs I ordered don't fit. The splines on my axle are about 2 1/4 inches long, the hubs I got are about 1 7/8 or so (basically the splines stick out past the hub).

I looked on ebay and they are easy to find but all the responses I get are for the smaller size. Did I wind up with some kind of after-market axle with longer splines? Fits fine in the carriage, brake and sprockets line up, so I'm wondering what gives, is there a spacer or something I'm missing? Don't see it in the parts diagrams! Help? Thanks

Yes there are spacers that slide on before the hub.
