I bought the same winch yesterday for my Rhino, 69.00 at HF. Any complaints, concerns, or praises for this winch?

Well, I got to use this winch to pull my buck out of a nasty creek bottom this hunting season. I know it wasn't much of a load, but it saved me several hours of hard work.

I bought one of these winches to get my sandrail into my toyhauler. It has to be backed in for space issues. Anyway, I was pissed when I first used it as I had to be two feet from it to get it to work. I replaced the battery on the remote. No change. I was just about to eliminate the remote system and hardwire it, when a friend said lets check out the antenna. Opened up the box, and found the antenna was about an inch long! We soldered a 12" 18g wire to the antenna wire and drilled a hole in the box for the wire to go through. Now it has a range of about 15 yards or more! It pulls my rail up the ramp and into the trailer slowly but surely. It had some strain when the tires were being pulled over the lip of the door and up the ramp. But it did the job. I will carry an extra remote battery as there is no other way to activate the winch and I will be careful with the remote as a replacement may not be easy to get if it is broken.
