i have no spark , is there a way i can test my coil , to make sure its good . any ideas would help . i have a ohm / volt meter for testing . i do not have a book on the bike so i have no idea on any specs . thanks matt

 

Remove the black wire for the reverse limiter first. Check for spark. Any change?

 

wheres the black wire ? there is a blue wire runing into the coil thats the only one that goes to it . this bike did get stolen at one time so there is no key switch , i have the two big red wires twisted together . then there are a black wire and a brown wire that is hanging around , i aussume these 4 wires went to the key on off switch , one for the ground and other for power . that sound right to you ?

 

i have the coil in my hand is there a way to check the coil with my ohm meter ?

look i really need to get this thing running , i dont want to have to pay a shop to fix something as easy as a coil or whatever . i just got this bike from my parents who had it stollen from there house . it does not have a ignition switch anymore so i have to twist the wires together . it did run until the starter bedix broke , then some kids tryed steeling it but could not get it to run since the starter was broken , and the pull start did not work also . so i got the starter fix now it does not have any spark . thanks for any help .
