Default STARTING PROBLEM

HI
FIRST TIME FOR USING THIS FORUM.
2002 SCRAMBLER 500 4X4. STARTER TURNS ENGINE OVER-WON'T FIRE,
STARTS WITH PULL START. CHECKED STATOR, COIL, ETC. WITH POLARIS'S
OHM RATINGS-EVERYTHING CHECKS OUT OK. CAN I TEST IGNITION SWITCH?
WHAT TERMINALS DO I TEST AND FOR WHAT READING? WHAT ELSE SHOULD I CHECK?

THANKS--500 SCRAMBLER

Default STARTING PROBLEM

I have the same problem with my Trailblazer 400 (two-stroke).

How fast does it turn over when your trying to start it with the key?
You might have a low or bad battery. I know with mine if I hook up a jump box to the battery it will turn over and fire up, but without the jump box it just cranks and wont fire.

Default STARTING PROBLEM

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I have a 03 trail blazer which is doing the same thing. Sometime it will start with key but other times it won't. Pull start works fine. I have changed the battery, plug, checked compression but have never been able to solve the problem.
