We have a Polaris 425 Magnum..we brought it home,it started ran approx. 30 minutes and died,next day it fired,ran approx. 10 minutes we turned it off...now we have no fire...at all????any suggestions greatly appreciated,Thank You!

 

is this a new quad for you? did you just get it? whats the history of it huh? has it been stored/sitting for a long time?.............................when you say "now we have no fire at all" what do you mean? do you mean when you go to start it nothing happens? no noise? no sound? motor does not turn over? it does turn over but will not start?........................

 

any spark on the spark plug?

 

This is new to us....my niece bought it for her 2 son's.....they rode it for a while(month or so)they drove it up in the yard and it quit,my brother thought maybe out of gas....was not the problem. My husband acquired it,came home put the resistor piece on the spark plug and it started and ran for approx. 30 min,then it died,let it set that night,next morning it started,ran for approx. 10 minutes and he shut it off and since then there is no fire....it turns over,but is no spark at the spark plug.

 

maybe coil is bad or internal parts like the stator, or cdi box. hard to tell w/ electronics.

 

Thank you all so much for your input....but the problem is half solved,today they started it and it ran and he shut it off with the key instead of the kill switch,seems to do fine as long as you use the key????(any hints for him as to what the problem is there?)..[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]..........Thank You
