Default 03 Foreman S Problem

I went to start my 4-wheeler to load it up last Friday night. I turned the key on and the display lit up and the lights were on from the last time I unloaded it. I went to press the ignition switch and everything shut off. There was no tick from the battery trying to turn nothing....I took my battery to have it tested and they said it probably needed to be charged (I just bought it last year). I got a charger and charged it on a low amp for 10 hours. I put it back in and turned the key. The display lit up, went out and then came on. When I pushed the ignition button...nothing I tried the lights and the display went out. I finally pulled the cord and it started up, but the lights would not work. Any help out there? I'm thinking of going and trading in my battery tomorrow. I'm very perplexed. Last time I rode it, I had no problems at all......

I charged my battery on a concrete floor, could this have kept the battery from properly re-charging? I saw something in past threads where this might affect the charge. Also, I've seen stuff for the alternator and everything, didn't know what you guys thought about this.

Well first off, concrete will drain a battery quick. Get a fresh battery, if thats not it. It sounds like it just a short some where. Look for a cut or skinned wire somewhere.

Check your ground wire, I have had a couple of bikes that did exactly what your is doing and it turned out to be a bad ground from the Bat to ground. The lights should work with the engine running, unless you have a bad ground.

Thanks guys, I got a new battery and charged it up and everything seems to be working great now; I guess just a fluke battery.
