Has there ever been a 4x4 with a manual clutch?

 

Like the Arctic Cat 500?

Are you kidding? If not, i believe around 2000.

 

I think 1999 was the first time the 4x4 500 AC was out. It is still sold today. But they had the 454 4x4 manual as their first ATV in 1996.

 

I think he is talking about a manual hand clutch like on a Banshee or motocross bike. I do not think they ever made a Utility ATV that was fully manual shifting.

 

I believe the yamaha wolverine was a manual clutch 4x4. Until they switched it to the crap-O-matic!

 

Wolverine was a semi Auto like the Big Bear.

If you look on Artic Cat's website the 500 4x4 is indeed a manual clutch with a toe shifter. That is what I am interested in. I still don't know what year they started making them with that configuration. Where are the die-hard AC guys!
