i ve got an iss with one of my scrammy's and cant quite figure it out ..
the other day went riding and founnd out that my AWD was not engageing, after looking at it it seems that i am not getting any power to the switch.. according to the book it might be the AWD mod but doesnt say where it is ... has anyone else had a problem like this? it is an '01 and on hte switch the AWD is spossed to light up but it isnt. thats what make me think there is no power going to the switch... any suggestions????

 

Sure do!
Replace the switch on the gearcase right hand side, or take it off clean the pins for the plug
and it might work.
If my memory serves me correctly if you push the reverse override while the switch is in awd
the light will light up and awd will ingage

Where is this switch on the gearcase? Are we talking about the front gearcase where the idfferential is or on the tranny gearcase? I looked on the front gearcase and couldn't find anything. My 4Wd has been acting up, so I might need to clean the pins. Thanks!

 

On the upper right side of the tranny gear case

 

all that does is tell you what gear you are in.. i disconnected mine years ago so i dont have to push in the override button

 

Guess you unhooked the wrong thing now.
The black wire off the module is what U unhook for reverse override

its funny that after three years that the 4wd would just now have a problem since the switch has been off for that long.. maybe its somthing else.... thanks
