Polaris is out to steal some of KTMs thunder when it arrives.

 

i can tell you that they might look simular but the outlaw is not even in the same league stock to stock. (almost nothing is in the same league as the ktm right now)stock vs sotck

 

how much does that ktm go for i see the price on the page but what are the dealer prices? I think that thing is sick

 

When did the Polaris Outlaw 525s with the straight axle come out? I only heard about the IRS model?

 

polaris...it seems you can get them for about 9000 otd.

tlc... they just came out this last model year.

 

TLC, I think there are some minor differences in the hydraulic clutches they use. I think KTM is going to use a different clutch than Polaris. I think KTM will also have a different handlebar setup if my memory is right. Other than that, I haven't read about too many things that are different with the two quads.

meny other differences...the shocks on the ktm are far superior to the polaris. the exhaust setup is alot better than the polaris. it has a adjustable axle stock where no other stock quad has one. im probaly forgetting some other stuff.

Can you buy a pipe and rear shock for the Polaris with the $2000 less you pay for the ATV?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

not really...shocks front and back are almost 2000 right there. ntm the adjustable axle is around 300-500. and a pipe is close to 500. also all these this is covered under warrenty with the ktm. also i think there are other things that i just cant think of that are better. also the ktm is like 20lb lighter than the polaris.

 

About the only thing these two atvs share is the engine. The KTM has a different frame, suspension, plastic, exhaust, air filter, etc. In a straight up drag they may be close, but the KTM is going to be hands down the winner in any kind of xc or even mx environment with equal riders. Now chances are, actual purchase prices will probably be more than 2K difference to the Outlaw. It will be interesting to see how well each of these units sell.
