what else is in the rear housing? besides 2 seals 2 bearings . i found a spacer about 3/8 thick . not sure where it goes ty

 

what year is your machine??? if its within 99 to 04 it should be like this.... looking at the rear of the bike, that spacer butts up to the circlip on the left side of the assembly. (on the bearing side of the circlip)
