#1
Hey all....new to the forum, first post. Just purchased a 2007 Polaris 500 EFI today. Just wondering what everyone thinks of them? Hopefully my decision to buy one is a good decision. Looking for feedback. Thanks guys. Looking forward to chatting with you all. Later.

Hey 07, the 500 EFI is a great quad. Have that engine in my X2 and haven't needed more. Not as fast as the bigger ones (obviously) but gets great gas mileage. I think you'll enjoy it. The storage up front under the rack is fantastic. I probably have about 30 different items in there now. Someday I'll make out a list. Last added items were a pruning saw where the blade folds into the handle (for the ever present blow down trees) and a ****** block to double the pull of the winch. So far, everything fits.

Not a single problem with my '06 500 H.O. The 500 EFI in my opinion is very close to the perfect bike, more so than my 800. The biggest drawback to my 800 is the fuel consumption. I'm sure you'll love your 500.

I love my new '07 500! I've managed to rip a couple of cv boots already, but they aren't hard to change.
Here is a link to a technic that I used to break in my new wheeler. I've heard a lot of guy use some version of it to break theirs in. Bottom line warm it up thouroughly, ride it hard - alternating between hard acceleration and deceleration without using the brakes and change the oil early (25 miles - not hours).
