how do i tighten my chain?

It's quite the process!! If you look @ the rear of the swingarm, you'll see two bolts, you have to loosen those. Then look underneath the caliper mount and there are two bolts going upward into the mount.Loosen those as well. Theres' a hole in the rear sprocket that you have to stick a punch through and into the rear axle housing.Make sure the brakes ar OFF!! Then roll the machine forward or backward to adjust chain tension. There should be approx. 3/8" deflection. Then torque the swingarm rear bolts to 30ft/lbs without a trailer hitch or 45ft/lbs with a trailer hitch. Then torque the caliper mount bolts to 10-12 ft/lbs. Roll the machine forward and backward and check the tension at different points to make sure it's as uniform as possible. Straight out of a manual..Hope this helps...

Well if you can't find the hole in the sprocket, then see if you have a pipe wrench bid enough to fit the hex nut shape on the rear axle housing. They make a wrench for it but a pipe wrench will work too.
