Default Horn on Sportsman?

Has anyone installed a horn on their Sportsman? I would think it could be useful at times.

No. I just thought it would be helpful if you're riding behind a buddy and need to signal to stop, or maybe as a signal if separated in the woods. Just a notion I guess.

I have one on my 2002 500HO. I used the reverse over-ride switch after I did the mod on it. It was just sittin there doin nothing so I said what the hell!! I used the horn out of an old mazda. They are flat and easy to fit.

Not to get off topic, but I just put on a rear view mirror and love it. At a glance I can tell if I,m riding in a group or alone now. I like your horn idea also.

I think a mirror would be good too. I do remember seeing some type of mirror modification on the Quadovator website.

I tried to put one of those air horns like you use at sporting events on mine. Neither brand held up to mud though. Wanted something nice & loud for the knot heads on the trails. It worked for a little while that I could signal others in the group that they were missing the turn off. Mirrors definately come in handy, just a glance into it rather than having to turn around to check. Trees may jump out while you have your head turned.
