What Mods make the Raptor faster and all over better. I am looking for any suggestions on any mod that makes the Raptor a BEAST. Im also looking for bumpers and skid guards. Any suggestions??

Thanx. So do u know of any good brands for filters, pipe and jetting kits that i should get. and do sprocket changes make a big difference?? and what exactly is a jet and should i get my raptor re-jetted if i get a new pipe???

Dynojet makes a good jet kit, K&N is one of my favorite filters, uni and twin air also make nice filters.
As far as pipes there are several different manufacturers that you could go with, GYTR is the yamaha one, Curtis Sparks, HMF and several others make good pipes as well.
Yes if you change your pipe you have to rejet or you will run lean and ruin your motor. A jet is what squirts the fuel in inside the carb, on most bikes if you have any kind of mechanical ability it is fairly easy to rejet.
A sprocket change will change your gear ratio. If you go to a smaller sprocket on the back then you will go faster, a larger sprocket will lower your top end speed but you get more low end torque.
A larger front sprocket will do the same thing as a smaller back sprocket.

Sorry, but the Raptor 350 will never be a beast. It is more mild mannered than the beast quads like the Banshee, 700 or 450. As mentioned above, a slip-on exhaust (HMF for $220), K&N filter, yes you need a jet kit with a filter & pipe, and I always liked a 14 tooth front sprocket with the stock rear sprocket. These mods will give you a noticeable increase in power. If you want to go into the engine, I would recommend a Webcam .430", HD valve springs, and a JE 10.5:1 compression piston (366cc). I would say if the pipe, filter, jet and sprocket aren't enough, save the money for a faster quad and don't waste the money on the 350. If you max the engine out, then the factory suspension still sucks, so you have to upgrade all of that. And by the way, Curtis Sparks is a great pipe, but he stopped making them for the 350.

You will have to spend a boat load on that quad to make it perform decent. You would be much better off to sell that quad and buy a better quad(such as a Z400) A Z400 will kill a highly modified Rappy350.

So do air filters really make a difference? and what is better torque or speed? and can u explain what front end speed and lower end speed speed is, whats the difference? Does HP have to do with speed? they say that the HMF pipe gives +6 HP and the AC pipe gives +10 HP i dont know about the FMF powercore 4 pipe but all of these slip-ons pretty much cost the same, i dont know if i should buy the AC because of the HP or the HMF because its so popular or the FMF cause it has a good reputation. do u know which of these is better speed, torque, acceleration wise??? and do rev boxes ruin the engine at all, and do they make a big difference in how he engine performs?

I beg to differ about the Z400. Yes, you will have to spend a boat load on the 350 which isn't worth it and you should just get another quad, but I outran a modified Z400 (440 kit, cam, pipe, filter) with my highly modified 350. It was a close race and the YFZ 450 was right in front of us. So a 350 can perform decent, but it's not worth what it costs.

Air filters do help to get more air into the carb. Even if you only add 1/2 - 1 HP with each mod, that is still a good improvement on such a small engine. Torque is what gives the bike it's get-up-and-go, or acceleration. Most pipes for 350s will gain about the same torque and HP. Most mods will add HP and torque, but some will add more torque where other mods will add more HP. The best way to add torque is to increase piston size and compression.
