Default Cheap replacement solenoid

Hey good people...

i just paid for 2 new solenoids for my 2 scramblers over the past year at $40 each at my polaris dealer, and i just noticed that one of my local Auto parts stores (Advantage Auto Parts) had almost the exact same solenoid for $7.98!!!
i have to say i've been sorely disappointed in Polaris Prices, there's just no reason to overcharge your customers that much. think about how much they must really pay for it... $4.00 maybe? and selling it for $40? that such a rip off.
same for other things ive noticed...ONE SET of rear brake pads for $50???
I can get 2 PAIR for my CAR for $20!!
i did get a deal on ebay for all 3 sets of pads (2 front, 1 rear) for $40.
anyway, thats my rant and hope you guys can save some money!

Most lawn tractors use the same reley as the Polaris one and you can get them cheaper too.The brakes are a dif compound. The cheap ones you get off ebay wont last a fraction of the time the Polaris "sever duty" one do.

granted a sol. is just a activating switch so it most likely would be the same in that way, but ours do get alot of water and mud on them. just wondering if they are sealed or not never really payed attetion.

There is a p/n for a lawn tractor that works for like $12 at True Value hardware stores.
