Thump for the record on this thread. Where do you buy the Manual clutch kit and what type of coins are we talking.

I'm interested...

Do you remove the rear brake lever?

Thanks,

Musclford

Hey musclford, I sent my clutch parts to FST for the mod. He screwed it up though, shabby work, I had to reweld a bracket. It cost me about $150 total, but took a while to get right. Its not a mod for an inexperienced mechanic. Yes you loose the rear brake lever. I just ground off the bracket mounting, and left the switch in for a clutch switch. The mod consist of removing the centrifical clutch and drum, welding together the 2 shaft that ride inside it. One side is geared to the trans and one to the engine. Then install heavy clutch springs in the stack clutch. On the shifter side you must remove the cover and disassemble the shifter mech. There is a lever that disengauges the stack clutch, cut it off and weld a lever that has an eye for a clutch cable end. Then drill a hole and tap it for the cable end. Make sure its lined up correctly. I double nutted the end of the cable and installed aluminum washer to seal it. Its a great mod but alot of work. A friend and I are thinking of starting a repair and mod shop, so you never know, I might steal it from FST and make it much better.
