Default 2007 Grizzly 350 4x4 Boot Ripped

I just bought a 2007 Grizzly 350 4x4 Hunter Model ATV, less than 100 miles on it and a stick came up under and through an opening in the skid plate and ripped my rear CV boot apart. This was on a Monday, I called all the local Yamaha shops none had this boot in stock, they all said they could have on Friday, price 37 bucks out the door.

I searched online and found a place called ATV Products they carry a universal boot kit for $19.95 so I ordered it, total 26 bucks with 2 day priority mail. I got it on Wednesday, before I put it on there is an excess piece that needed to be cut off. I took this piece and matched it with the OEM boot and yes its just a fraction thinner but when pulled on and poked it seems just as tough as the OEM boot.

I'm going to use this universal boot to see how well it holds up, I will keep you updated.

P.S. This universal boot came with grease and two clamps with a tool for installation.

Same thing happened to me, only my Yamaha shop keeps these in stock... it was $24 but I had to use needlenose pliers to remove the clamps. It is surprisingly easy to change though.

On the rating of a 1-10 one being the easiest how hard is it to change the front lower CV boot on a 660 Grizzly?
