I have read that you can mill the head on the polaris 250 2 stroke and raise compression and get 2 extra hp. Has anyone done this? good results? Can I run regular pumpgas with this mod?

I have a guy at work who can machine/mill the head for me. He told me he has a way to figure how much material to remove. My question is what is the amount of material that should be removed? Im thinking its between .020" and .040". I just want to get some other opinions before I give him the go ahead. I want to see if what he comes up with matches with the input I get from this thread... I know the guy is fully capable of the job, I just have to double check..

My plow rig 250 has .020 taken off and it likes 93 octane. My drag 250 has .040 off the head and it likes 111 octane. Doc

What happens if you use 93 octane in the drag 250? Wont start? Run? Sputters?

Are you still running the factory piston in the plow rig 250?
