It *might*, alot depends on how well you keep it cleaned and lubricated and how hard you ride. A narrower sprocket will load the rollers more and create a higher bending moment in the pins for the same force, and will contribute to pin breakage in a high load situation.

hey calds650, i got the same kind of sprockets for mine. i called them and asked why they were thin like a 520 chain. they told me it would clean out better like this. it was the only way they made them. ive had mine on for 7 months of hard riding with no trouble .
