We have beaten this topic to death in the Honda forum.
I think this machines niche will be where the high ground clearance is needed, but yet the conditions aren't technical enough to require 4wd. That's not many place that I ever ride!
The high weight penalty that you pay for the IRS, puts this machine into a class that isn't really all the "sporty".

looks like a beast. i hear it might be as fast, if not faster than the raptor 700. personaly, i wouldnt buy it, but im not in to the irs very much and it just dosent appeal to me,idk why</end quote></div>
There's no way its going to be faster then a raptor 700, Trxx700 wet weight is 500+ lbs and the Raptor wet weight is 423 lbs and they both have a 686cc engine so raptor gots it beat. The trxx700 closest competition is going to be the kfx 700,ds650 and the predator 500.

I personally will need to see and ride this thing first hand to get a good opinion on it. From looking at it now, reading about it in magazines, I still cant imagine what it would be like to ride one, it does look pretty wicked, but it also looks sorta bulky, with that big bore engine in it however, i think it'll be able to haul that weight pretty good, and who knows, it might be the next big thing

My opinion is i would either own a big utility atv with 4wd like a 680 rincon or a light fast machine such as the 450r their really isnt much of a place for somthing in between!!!!!</end quote></div>
There is a huge market for this type of machine. That is why the 525 Outlaw is selling so well. The honda 700 is heavier (about 100 LBS) than the 525 Outlaw and is narrower. The Honda does have a larger engine and EFI. We will have to see which is better when it comes out. Having IRS on a sport quad is great for those rocky, rutted trails. Both machines have reverse, a very nice feature to have on the trail.
