Trialboss modle year?

What year was the first Trailboss 250 4x4 red (front and rear plastics), and black (tank, seat, and racks). I can not seem to find the vin so, any help welcome. THANKS!!!

Most wheelers and bikes have the V.I.N. around the handle bar/ steering shaft area?????

Guessing? Around an 88. Is the oil tank fill behind the fuel cap or in front of the headlight?
