400 bumper chop
#1
i have an 06 400 with the deluxe brush bar on the front the type that you can buy for the 500 and up but its different on the 400 because it doesnt replace the front bumper like on the other models it just goes over the bumper so ive been contemplating cutting off the litlte wings that stick past the brush bar. i wish i could post pics but i dont know how but im looking for opinions on this do you think it will look good

Hey Rango,,Frank here. I enjoy the conversation at articchat. Im all for modifying stuff to make it unique. In my head Im picturing something that looks like a pushbar for a truck, I think that might look cool. When Im contemplating something like that I try to mask or block off what Im looking at removing to see if I can get a visual of what it would look like.

i posted up about this on arcticchat witha pic but i only got one responce to it so i figured i would try here to see what people had to say. im figuring it will look like the 500 and up models but with a touch of the 2005 and older models. im just **** about messing up my machine because if i dont like it ill end up buying a new bumper etc for it. and then ill have to hide any sharp objects from the wife either that or sleep with one eye open. lol

LOL, I hear ya bud. Can you wrap something,,,towels, colored paper, anything that matches the quad color to mask what you are thinking of cutting off just to see what it might look like? Maybe even paint some tape the same color as the quad and put it on the parts you plan to cut off. I love this stuff, Im always painting and modifying things,,,,how about cutting carefully, and it could be welded back on if you didnt like it??
