Trail Boss: PLEASE HELP!!!
#1
Hey,
I have a couple of questions about my ATV that I recently purchased. The machine is a 1986 Polaris Trail Boss 2 wheel drive. My first question is about tires I was just wondering what a good tire for front and rear would be. I will be be riding trails and some mud that I may encounter along the way and thats about it really. And how aggressive the front tire tread should be because it is only 2 wheel drive. The other question was about winches(1500 pound). I was wondering what they run off (separate battery from starter/lights), how much power it will take to run one and what type of fuse systems to put in(if any?). Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I do not know a whole lot about this off-road sport, But am VERY eiger to learn.
Thanks Alot

about any good tire will work. i had mud lites at's on my trail blazer and worked real good all round. the front wont need to be real agressive and maybe the 489's would be good for the front. wal mart is even selling them now i beleave. you can buy winches pretty cheap on ebay and comes w/ all the wiring you need (read the fine print to be sure) and hooks up to your battery w/ a seprate contacter(like a solnoide) and doesnt have an in line fuse.
