i have a 07 800 efi and want to upgrade the tires. I was talking to a person at a dealership, and they said if i wanted to put a 27" i'd have to put them on 14" wheels. I don't have a problem w/ that, but what would be the best tire for playing in the mud. I don't want to run wheel spacers, and i don't mind running 12" wheels or 14" wheels like i said before. Is a 27" tire the bigger i can go.

 

You don't need 14s to run 27s. I have 27s on 12s and no problems. You can run some 28s without a lift, not all tires measure the same but you might want to stick to 27s if you don't want to do too many other mods. There are a lot of mud tires out there, but you have to look at riding to the mudholes as well. A good all around tire is nice. I have mudlite XTRs and I love them. Good in mud, snow, and hardpack. But there are a lot of other options as well.
