First of all hello everyone I have just joined and from what I see you have a very nice site. Well here we go I have a 2000 polaris magnum 325 2x4 fully automatic I bought it from my uncle, he said the coil was out so I checked it sure enough it was cracked down the side with burnt wires sticking out, so i bought a coil put it on no fire so I check the stator with my meter it seems to be making power I am not sure how much power it is should make i have a different meter that tests output so if anyone knows how much it should put out and could tell me that would be great, Anyway I know it is ether the stator or the CDI box how could I know for a fact which one it is, I can't take it to a shop there is not one around for over 100 miles one way and by the time I factored in gas I would have more in gas then I paid for the four wheeler, No joke. One more thing there is a black wire coming from the cdi box and I don't know where it goes anyone know what it might be?? Well thanks everyone for taking the time to read this and I hope you can tell me what I need to do next.

By the way one more thing, If it is the CDI box I know where I can get a used one I know it's good they want $80 bucks for it is the a good deal?? I would go ahead and buy it but I don't want to spend money on something I don't need, know what I mean?

 

Alright i got my camera chagred and i took a picture of the black wire, When i found this wire it had no plug on the end or anything it was down behind the coil my uncle did not know where it went, I also checked for broken wires and found none, So if you can tell me where it went that would help a lot!!






P.S. As you can see the wire comes from the CDI box

 

Alright first of all the pictures i posted last time might not be working i can't see them anymore, Anyway the reason a posted again i wanted to let everyone know i found out where the black wire went, It turned out to be the kill wire i don't know why it was pulled loose but it was, I still don't have any fire, Once again is there any test i can do to see if my CDI has gone bad i have meters to hook up, If i find anything else out i'll let everyone know.
