I road all last weekend with no problems. I went to go this weekend and drove approx. 100yds. and it barely wanted to go. It stalled a couple of times and just wanted to sputter then go sputter then go. I ran it for a while and all is well now.

I'm planning a long ride tomorrow. What do I need to do? Should I be concerned? I have approx. 125 mi. on it and it's under 6mo. old.

 

If you ride offroad, you should clean the air filter regularly! I clean mine after each dusty ride. Mine will spit and spudder when the filter gets too dirty.

 

you didnt get any water in the fuel did you? is it back firing when it spits and sputters?

 

I was out riding with a few buddies last night and one of our guys had a sputtering problem with his Sportsman 700 EFI. We checked it out and his positive battery cable was finger loose. Snugged it down and all was well.

 

yes these newer bike are 100% depending on good power source to even run right so make sure your connections are tight and the battery is good.
