Default solenoid problems

i have a 91 trail boss 250. i have searched the net to find installation directions, purchased a clymers maint manual, and even went to autozone and i cant figure this out. my solenoid has 2 large post on either side and 2 small post one has an S and the other has an I next to it. the maintence manual does not specify which large post the battery connects to, which post the starter connects to, or where the ignition switch connects to. could someone please help me out

thanks for responding. according to clymers maint the white/red wire goes to the solenoid but it doesnt say which post it goes to (I or S). there is also 2 large post and i dont know what power wire to hook to what. there is one going to the battery to the solenoid and then one going from the solenoid to the starter.

I don't have any service manuals for Polaris. The motorcycles I have are very different than that. Sorry, but there are those that do have the service manuals and probably will respond if we keep this near the top, responding. Good luck.
