Default Stalling with throttle???

I finally got my kid's Giovanni 50cc quad running and it was running fine for about 45 minutes. Then it began acting funny, it now stalls when the throttle is applied. I can then start it again with no problem - but can't apply the throttle. Sometimes I can lift the rear end off the ground and apply the throttle and it will be fine, but as soon as the wheels are on the ground it stalls with the throttle. Sometimes it will also stall if I lift the rear wheels and apply the throttle.

This problem started after attempting to drive through snow, I don't know if this is significant (we were driving through snow for 45 minutes with no problem). Any ideas or help will be much appreciated.

Did the air filter get exposed to the snow? If it got soaked, it might cause it to stumble if water is getting into the carb. Could also be the harness connectors got wet. Take all of them apart and blow out any moisture that may be trapped.

What is called, "2nd-air suction"could be suspicious. Suppose to check if the bolts which tighten the carb are loosened by your exitng ride or not, please.

I think it's a plugged main jet.

You might also have a plugged vent hose... Try taking teh gass cap off and see if it has any effect... (Just for test purposes, do not ride it this way) Sounds to me to be electical related if you had issues after riding in snow.

Thanks for everyone's input. I ended up getting my brother in law (who's been tinkering with small engines for years) to have a look at it. it ended up that it just needed to have the carb adjusted for lower temperatures.
