525irs outlaw finishes 5th in baja 1000

in the pro atv class hancock racing finishes 5th after running 3rd most of the day until engine problems.this is the first try at the baja 1000. maybe next year with some more r&d the outlaw will win the baja 1000 and silence the critics with amazement and awe that a polaris sport quad with irs just won a major endurance race

Well race quads are what they are ...... custom race quads ......
How much of that Outlaw was actually "Polaris" though ?
The engine is KTM, and I'm sure that the suspension and travel were not stock either ......
So really, besides the plastic and the frame what was actually made by Polaris?

I am sure as much of it was Polaris as the Hondas were stock Honda. The Polaris stock suspension is as good or better as the stock Honda suspension. The KTM engine is what comes on a Polaris so it is a Polaris. They go ahead and use the best with the most HP. That way they don't need to hop them up like they do the Honda's.

it was their FIRST attempt at the 1000 so not a bad showing.and now CT Racing has built a 525irs piloted by Allen Knowles for the GNCC and WORCS. could be a big year for the outlaw in this year's season
