Nerf bars for 2007 Honda 400ex
#1
Thanks to all the help.
I am new to the sport quad world. I see many type of nerf bars, simple to the type that run up behind the heel of the boot and replace that plastic part. Are the simple nerf ok or are the other type required. We trail ride so weight will not be much of an issue. The more substancial ones are way more $$. If I don't need they I don't want to buy them.
Also what is a good quality brand. I see what seems to hundreds out there.
Do I need to protect any other parts of the quad. I see about a bizilloin different parts to bolt on that will protect just about the whole quad. We don't ride on really bad trails, mostly National Forest.
Thanks again for your help.

I have DG Race Peg nerfs on my 400. The peg is built into the bars, so you have way more options for where to put your foot....especially helpful in off-camber situations!
I have never felt that I needed the heel guards. I wear MX boots however, and my big boots just wouldn't fit between the bar and the tire anyway.
