06 Honda TRX400Fa 4x question
#1
Very simple question. My battery is dead so I pulled started my TRX400FA and I noticed the 4wheel drive light flashing a code. 4 continous blinks. Anyone know what this means? thanks, David from WV.

I don't mean to be a dork I don't know if I am asking the right place the right question but here goes, I have the same problem same year, everything. I am also looking for someone who knows what color switch assembly wires goes to red and black + & - for the winch controller. It was directly hooked up to the battery for the snow plow and it died or ran down or yikes .. Help if you can..

1st. question......... code #4 is "system voltage" .. You will have to have the battery charged & load tested ..
2nd. question .... The red (+) and black (-) from the contactor go to the positive (+) and negative (-) on the battery .. If your battery is dead it should also be properly charged & load tested ..

Myself, I have not found a code 4 to lead to anything wrong, to date. Seems the code has been tripped by loose battery connections and or low battery.
Example:
If the key was left on and drained the battery, then the unit was started with the recoil starter, a code 4 would appear.
Clear the code and see if it does not come back after checking the battery like Hondamechanic mentioned
