Question about Yamaha Wolverine 450
#1
I hava a 2007 yamaha wolverine 450 SE and I want to know what mods to buy to get better acceleration speed and i would not like to spend too much money. I do a little bit of trail riding but mostly muddin' or going through creeks but sometimes i still like to go fast. I dont want to know how to make the top speed higher, all i need is better acceleration. So if you could tell me what mods might me good for me that would be great.

GYTR or HMF also AAEN makes a pipe as well.
K&n or UNI either one would be a good filter.
Dynojet jet kit.
And as far as the clutch kit the website that drifter gave you will get you set up with the proper one for your elevation that you ride.

ok thanks. And i wanted to know if after putting mods on, could i still go through pretty deep mud or creeks without messing the mods up? Also, do any of you know what website would sell all of these so i only have to worry about one website shipping me parts?

I have a hmf pipe, k&n filter, dynojet kit, and the hauck clutch work done and Im very happy with the acceleration and top speed. Stock, I couldnt do over 51, now Im hitting 59 on flat roads. Mine smokes my buddies 06 wolverine 450, and is just a little bit slower than his 07 grizzly 700.

no website that I know of sells all of the stuff you are looking for. I actually bought all of my stuff at my dealership because I get a discount from them on everything.
Yhea you will still be able to go through deep water with the mods. I repeatedly have mine up to the headlights and deeper with everything done to it.

If you want to go in deep mud... That web site I gave you for the clutch kit has the kit from 0-3000 feet,,, stock tires and 0-3000 feet with 27 to 28 inch tires... If you are going to ride in deep mud most of the time you may want to look into a set of 27" tires...

deep mud ehh?? 27-28" inch tires without a lift-kit would not be so good..Get 25-26" Mudlites, even with that size tires I would recomend wheel spacers..Large tires make the wolvy very top heavy(tippy)HMF slip on pipes are your best bang for the buck..dirt and mud riding..Skip the K&N filter, stick with foam..K&N lets a lot of dirt into the carb..Torque stuffer helps with..well torque lol ..like ctateusa1 says go with the Dyno jet kit and the EPI clutch kit..or you can go the cheaper route and just buy the stiffer springs for the clutch..Also have to add 07 wolvy are not winch friendly,In that kind of mud you always want a winch..but good luck with that..You can google all these parts and find many places to get them..Good luck..
