Hi,
I have a 92' Big Bear 4x4 1800 miles. It starts and runs great in warm weather, however when outside temp. reaches about 32 f. I have to use ether (startting fluid) to get it started. After that its runs fine. Recently spent $270 on a tune-up. The battery is 3 yrs old. Could that be it? It seems to turn over fine. Should I be using higher octane gas? any thoughts would be appricieted.

The choke or cable maybe? Oil too heavy for cold temps like 20W-50?

Did your tune-up include valve adjustments? Incorrect valve clearances can result in poor starting performance.
