Twist throttle recommend?
#2
The manufactors found out that the thumb was a lot safer for a first time rider. When a person is riding a quad and they hit a bump, they will on the average fall backwards. If they have a twist on the quad and they fall back this will open up the throttle and put the rider in danger. This can also happen even with a more experince rider. With the thumb the riders hand will come off or stay about the same speed. You will find that about half of you quad racers will still use a thumb because of better control.

Yes tpretender is right.I ued to have a twist on my 250r.But I couldn't hardly controll the thing. It was better for drag racing but that was it.I race mx and in whoops the twist makes it very hard to control.plus riding wheelie's was much harder.
