I recently purchased a new Arctic Cat 250 2x4. I have read some posts about being able to start the Arctic Cat in gear. Is there a way to make my 250 do that?

I think all of the newer Cats have this feature. You just squeeze the brake lever and push the start button.

No, you can buy the kit though. Same parts as on the 300 4x4.

Hadn't thought about it so I have no clue as to what they would ask for it.

The 2wd/4wd conversion kit msrp's for 59.95 though. I know you didn't ask about it but trust me it is a good investment!

Ignore the 4x4 kit, my eyes were not working correctly, I misread your cat specs.

So are you saying there is a kit, or is it only for the 4x4?

The kit he mentioned will only work if you have a 250 4wd to start with.

I'm not sure how the start in gear feature is wired but it could be done several ways. Run a wire from your tailight circuit to a relay. Then run a wire from the fuse box to the + in side of the relay. Then from the + out of the relay to your start switch. Or put a pressure operated switch in your brake line (it should be for a brake system)and run power to and from this switch. Clear as mud right?
