Default lunging forward

I just replaced the belt on my Sportsman 335 and it seems to want to creep forward at idle. Just curious what might cause this. Also, is there a simple fix for the belt cover to stop rubbing. It seems loose even with a new seal. Thanks in advance. BTW, I am a new member, but often reader.

Could be idling too high which could cause the pulleys to grip the belt a bit. Or the belt is too short...

is it the correct belt, is the words facing froward so its going the right direction(dont know if it makes a big diff or not) is the engine out of align. some times you need to either pull up or push down of=n the cover to stop it from rubbing.

According to the local Polaris dealer, it's the right belt. I do not about the direction, doesn't seem like it should matter though. I'll check the idle, sounds like that could be it. Thanks again.

idle should be around 11 to 1200 rpms.
