Upside down shocks again???
#1
Look on the back of the February 4-Wheel ATV Action magazine at the FMF ad. It shows a Banshee with it's front shocks on upside down! What's up with that? They did the same thing but with a Raptor a couple of months ago. Supposedly someone had called them and they said that the quad was shipped that way to them by Yamaha. I don't think so. If it helps with the stock shocks, would it help with aftermarket ones as well? Just curious.

I work at a Yamaha dealership.I've assembled 4 Raptors out of the crates they come in from the Yamaha factory. The front shocks come in a box and not on the unit, so if the unit came to the customer installed upside down it is because someone at the dealership were it was purchased didn't read their assembly manual properly. The front shocks when installed properly have the exposed shock rod on the topside to better protect it from dirt and flying rocks.Upside down will shorten the shocks life.
