Default 500EFI exhaust seems a bit loud

Is there a way to make my 500 quieter? Can I mod the 800 dual pipes to work and would it make it quieter?

Who makes a quieter pipe? I have seen those hunting add on mufflers, but I don't want one if it sticks out way too far.

they do make silencers and i saw one of the guys on line video and w/ the silencer on it did queit it down some but not as much as i thought. i would doubt trying to use the 800's exhaust would do anything as someone just did a experiment on his exhaust by adding lenght to it and it didnt do anything for the sound damping.

It does quiet it down on low end, but if you get to moving there is not much different. At low end the motor is louder then the muffler,

Altho I like my silencer I don't think I would buy it again, It does make it quieter, but ->for me<- not worth the money, IMHO

Koerbs, the Benz muffler from ATVsilencer.com will make the 500 very quiet, I ran one on mine for a full year before putting it on my 800. And if you wanted to mod the 800 mufflers, you would first have to relocate the inlet, as they are different from 500 to 800.

I was also the one who did the mod to my single 800 muffler, I added 4 inches to the rear of it hoping it would quiet it down but it didn't. Only the Benz AND the additional length quieted it down. As soon as it gets into the 20's around here I'll record a video and put it on youtube with the other one I made.
