Throttle Stuck
#1
Hey Guys,
My daughter has a Kazuma Falcon 90cc. I know that Chinese quads have gotten a bad rap, but this little thing has given us good service for a couple years. No problems until now. The throttle stuck wide open after riding through mud and trails all day. Took it home, removed carb and cleaned it. That fixed it. Went riding yesterday and stayed on a dry trail and after a couple hours, same thing. Luckily she is experienced enough not to panic, but would like to see if you guys have any ideas as to why the throttle continues to hang up. Thanks for your input.

If you have not done any maintence on the throttle cable, I can almost guarantee that is the source of your problems. You can try and force some lube in there, and just about any quality dirt bike shop can set you up with a bunch of products and tools to do this, but I have found that throttle cables should be considered an expendable item, and replaced every year just to keep things like this from happening. You have been lucky up to now. Do not take a chance with your daughter's life over a $20 part.
