Default Newbie in buying not in riding

Hey guys, i have ridden a few four wheelers in my days, and now im looking to buy one. the problem is all of the ones i have ever driven were either autoclutch manual 4x4's or little 250 automatics! i dont have a clue how hard it is to get used to clutching, and dont really wanna screw up a clutch on my first atv. any suggestions? i want something fast and sporty and really fun and very durable. but im not sure how i feel on the whole clutch issue yet. are there any nice sport quads out there with an autoclutch? i was looking at the yamaha wolverine 350 4x2 and the 450 4x4/4x2 respectively, mainly because of the driveshaft and auto transmition. have read mixed reviews on them and cant make up my mind. any help would be greatly appreciated!

You arent going to find a real sport quad thats a automatic. Have you ever driven a car with a clutch? Its the same concept. If not, its not all that hard to learn. Do you have a buddy with a quad with a clutch. Or maybe a small dirt bike? With a little practice it will become second nature.

i know how to drive a manual car, and wasnt really looking for the ultimate sport quad, just want something thats quicker and more nimble for some agressive trail riding, moreso then a full on utility quad, with the big racks and such. its not that i would mind learning the clutch, i just wanna be able to hop and and go.

Welcome to the forums.

10 minutes and you'll have the hang of it.

After riding an auto for a while, then finally getting a manual, I'll never go back.

Like Scooter says, after a few minutes you will be able to get on and go. Sort of like the learning experience with the car.

350 Warrior/Raptor. 400EX Honda. Both are reasonably priced used and are about as reliable as a hammer.
